Contra Indications
Standard Contra Indications + Additional Contra Indications:
Abdominal pain – This may be symptomatic of something more serious occurring unless diagnose as something else already
Back pain – for reasons previously stated
Heavy vaginal discharge or bleeding
Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD)
Diabetes and Gestational Diabetes
High blood pressure
Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) – severe morning sickness
Pre-eclampsia
Eclampsia and HELLP
Obstetric Cholestasis
Placenta Praevia or Antepartum Haemorrhage
Placenta Abruption
Miscarriage
Pregnancy massage is purely complimentary rather than an alternative to maternity care and therefore permission from the midwife and or GP must be granted prior to treatment. Our Massage therapist is specially trained in treating pregnant clients exercising the greatest of caution throughout the treatment.
