Massage is one of the fastest growing complementary therapies around the world. Many consumer massage surveys indicate that a large percentage of people receive a massage for health and wellbeing reasons. Many have massages as part of a treatment plan that have even been recommended by their GP.
Getting a massage can be a way to treat yourself, to de-stress or to address a medical issue. Massages are not only a luxurious indulgent treat for both your body and mind, they also have proven health benefits.
A massage significantly reduces anxiety and depression as it can float you into an euphoric state of relaxation that provides you with a relief from emotional worry.
Many people are now prioritising massage treatments in order to boost their mental health too.
If you are worried that a regular massage maybe unaffordable, consider stretching out the time between each session and consider self-massage techniques to perform at home. During your consultation, advice and recommendation will be given on self-massage techniques, a frequency and duration that works best to suit your needs.
At Jacinta Holistic Therapies, we aim to provide a holistic approach to all of the treatments on offer which can be tailored as a bespoke massage treatment plan or session whilst ensuring that you are safe, warm and comfortable throughout your massage experience. It is advised to book ahead your appointments if you decide on a treatment plan over several weeks. There will be a 15 minute consultation for new clients at the start of their first appointment.
