Warm Bamboo Massage
Warm Bamboo Massage combines thermotherapy with massage techniques using bamboo sticks to create a deep, relaxing and healing treatment. Using the warmth of the bamboo sticks and at the same time absorbing moisturising and therapeutic oils, this treatment helps to soften the muscles quicker and penetrates deeper into the muscular layers releasing tension whilst creating a sense of depth to the massage.

Contra Indications
Standard Contra Indications + Additional Contra Indications:
- Any condition for which massage in general is contraindicated
- Any condition where the client has loss of sensation, including neuropathy, post-surgery injury or trauma where nerves have been affected
- Surgery where nerves have been cut and there is a loss of feeling
- ·Any disease where there is nerve damage
- Diabetes * please note that some diabetic clients can become hypoglycaemic (low blood sugar) during treatments. Please bear in mind some diabetics have thinner skin when massaging particular areas such as the feet and ankles that can be more susceptible to blood clotting. Clients should always have medication with them during a massage as well as their blood testing kit and food supply such as orange juice and a banana (GP consent).
- Varicose veins
- High/Low Blood pressure that is not medically controlled: clients with high or low blood pressure are more susceptible to developing blood clots
- Cardiac Clients: sudden temperature changes can cause cardiac arrhythmias by ‘shocking’ the heart
- Pregnancy (all stages)
- Older clients – heat maybe too hot for their thinning skin
- Clients with burns, skin cancer, dermatitis & acne
- Clients with skin conditions that can be aggravated by moisture and heat such as Eczema & psoriasis
- Clients suffering with shingles, herpes and acute skin conditions
- High temperate or fever
- Infectious disorders such as chicken pox, COVID, influenza
- Clients under the influence of alcohol or toxic drugs
- Broken skin or bruising of the skin
- Open cuts or wounds
- Recent scar tissue
- Severe Sunburn
